Home Workshops Workshops Art CAREFREE COLLAGING [21.10.17]

Take a break from all your usual to-do’s and join us for this two hour workshop in which Kim will guide you in reconnecting with your creativity by collaging a vision or story board.

With so many things we feel we should be doing each day, it’s easy to lose sight of what it is we truly want. Restricted by demands and expectations, there is little room to just discover, explore and try something new.

Rekindle a sense of spontaneity by tapping into that carefree side of yourself again. Come and discover through this unpremeditated process what it is that makes your heart sing.

In this workshop, you are invited to get messy. Go with your gut by tearing out images that you resonate with and piece them together in whichever way you like by experimenting with different art materials and craft supplies. Kim will be there holding a space in which there is no right or wrong, and you are free to play. Leave with a brand-new vision for your life.

Kim studied art at the Johannesburg School of Art, Ballet, Music and Drama. Art has been the golden thread running through most of her life. She has worked for galleries and curated shows for the Nederburg Art Festival. Helping a friend in need, she got involved with teaching at pre-schools. She has since then founded her own Knysna-based Sunbird nursery school. In her free time she started collaging as something fun to do with her daughters. This is one of her favourite techniques that she uses regularly during her art practice.

This workshop is hosted at AvoPomme Creative Hub in Woodmill Lane, Knysna.
